RADON MEASUREMENT TECHNOLOGY

Accurate Measurement Is the Starting Point of Radon Management.
Because radon is invisible, accurate concentration measurement is essential.
BetterLife provides reliable radon measurement services using equipment and methods tailored to the characteristics of each space and the purpose of measurement.

Radon Measurement Technology

Radon is a colorless, odorless, and tasteless radioactive gas classified as a Group 1 carcinogen that may cause lung cancer.
However, the level of risk in a space cannot be known until measurement is performed.
For this reason, accurate measurement is the starting point of all radon management.
Limitations of Conventional Radon Measurement Conventional radon measurement has had the following limitations:

  • Significant variation in radon concentration depending on measurement environment and method
  • Passive long-term measurement only shows average radon exposure levels and has limitations in explaining the actual risk of a space
  • Lack of measurement methods designed specifically for radon mitigation installation

Radon concentration can fluctuate greatly depending on time, season, ventilation conditions, and building characteristics. Therefore, a single measurement alone is not sufficient to accurately assess the actual level of risk.
Based on extensive field experience, BetterLife has continuously researched and advanced its measurement technology with the understanding that measurement is not simply about obtaining numbers, but must lead to mitigation and long-term management.
BetterLife applies measurement technology optimized for on-site radon mitigation, centered on data analysis based on 10-minute interval measurements.

secure meaningful radon data that can be practically utilized in real-world settings.

Products and Systems Applying Measurement Technology

BetterLife’s measurement technology is not limited to individual measuring devices.
It is organically connected with mitigation, management, and monitoring technologies.

Continuous radon measuring devices

IoT-based measurement modules

Data collection and analysis systems

Control systems linked with radon mitigation equipment

This measurement technology expands into real-time data collection, long-term data analysis, and linked control with mitigation systems.
It serves as both the starting point and a core element of integrated radon management.

Field Applications

BetterLife’s measurement technology has been applied to a wide range of real-world spaces.

School classrooms

Military living quarters

Apartment complexes and detached houses

Underground spaces

At each site, measurement locations are selected according to the characteristics of the space, data is collected through long-term
and continuous measurement, and mitigation design is developed based on the measurement results.
Through this process, BetterLife has established a consistent radon management system that connects measurement,
analysis, mitigation, and management.

Measurement Report

Measurement results are not limited to simple numerical confirmation. They are organized and provided in an easy-to-understand report format.
The report includes measurement results, space information, concentration analysis, and, when necessary, recommendations for follow-up management.
This allows customers to clearly understand the current condition of their space and connect the measurement results to the next appropriate response.
Customers can review measurement results at a glance and proceed smoothly to the next step.

By dragging left and right, you can check the measurement results before construction (left) and after construction (right).
